Purpose
This policy applies where EquestrianIQ is used by, about, or on behalf of children or junior riders.
Controls
- Require parent/guardian consent for junior accounts where applicable.
- Allow parent/guardian management of junior rider data and sharing settings.
- Restrict public sharing of junior rider records, photos and videos by default.
- Limit adult-to-junior direct messaging or provide safeguards, reporting and moderation where messaging exists.
- Require club and coach accounts to confirm they have authority to upload junior rider information.
- Treat emergency contacts, medical notes, safeguarding notes and junior rider media as sensitive records.
- Provide clear reporting pathways for inappropriate contact, unsafe content or privacy concerns.
Club and coach use
Clubs and coaches maintain their own parent/guardian consent processes and use EquestrianIQ only in line with those consents and applicable child safety obligations.
